Laura and Alan got married in June at one of my favourite wedding venues, Sorn Castle in Ayrshire. Sitting in a large estate, deep in the Ayrshire countryside, it ticked all the boxes for this damn fine young couple.

It was an especially emotional day for Laura in more ways than one. Sadly her mum passed away not that long ago, but she was beautifully remembered throughout the day.

I’ve seen brides arrive for their wedding in so many different ways, but this was a first. Always good to know someone that has a helicopter nearby….what an entrance, loved it.

The ceremony was held in the old castle itself, built around the hull of a ship I think….drinks in the grand hallway and outside in the stunning gardens, with the wedding breakfast in the marquee. Martyn and his team made the day flow so easily and smoothly.

This pair head off soon to begin the next chapter of their life together, working in the middle east. I’ve no doubt they will remember this amazing celebration of their love in the memories, images and film (by Erin Rose Films) for many years to come.
